Considering the Longhorns have won four matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lutheran West let Aryana 'Ary' Garcia and Kailyn Caster run wild. Garcia went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Caster got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Hughes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lutheran West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .927. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They lost 10-0 to Cuyahoga Heights on Wednesday. The Trojans' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.2 runs over those games. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Trinity's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lutheran West has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .632. It's a different story for Trinity, though, as they've only averaged .291. Will they be able to contain Lutheran West's hitters?
