Soccer Recap: Portal Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matches, Portal finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Screven County Gamecocks by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for Portal in their meetings with Screven County: they've now lost seven in a row.

Portal's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Screven County, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Portal take on Swainsboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Screven County, they will challenge Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
