Basketball Recap: Highland Rim Academy Takes a Loss

Highland Rim Academy lost against Clarksville Christian back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Highland Rim Academy took a blow against the Clarksville Christian Centurions, falling 59-20. While losing is never fun, Highland Rim Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while Clarksville Christian is ranked 80th).

Clarksville Christian found their leader in sophomore Lauren Hassell, who went 8 for 11 en route to 20 points and seven boards. Marley Spiers was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Highland Rim Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Clarksville Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Highland Rim Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarksville Christian, they will face off against Christian Community at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clarksville Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season.
