Baseball Recap: Windsor Takes a Loss

Northwest hit Windsor with a four-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Owls lost 12-4 to the Lions.

Cole Scott put in work while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Windsor is 3-1 when Scott posts one or more home runs, but 3-9 otherwise.

In other batting news, Nate Estopare made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Windsor has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Northwest, they moved to 5-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will welcome Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northwest, they will be playing at home against Webster Groves at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
