Shepard is 8-2 against Stagg since August of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Astros will be playing at home against the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Shepard will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Shepard earned a 2-0 victory over Blue Island Eisenhower.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Shepard was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Stagg hadn't done well against Bradley-Bourbonnais recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Chargers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Boilermakers, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since October 4th.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Stagg who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-23, 16-25, 26-24.

Stagg found their leader in sophomore Elaina Yasin, who had eight digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Yasin.

Shepard's victory bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Stagg, their win bumped their record up to 16-14.
