Football Game Preview: Memorial Mustangs vs. Wisdom Generals + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Conrad Bennett and J'Dynn Lancaster are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Memorial Mustangs will take on the Wisdom Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Memorial comes in on eight and Wisdom on three.

The home team had won the previous six meetings between Memorial and Stratford, and Memorial kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 40-14 win on Friday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kade Gulledge, who rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Those 181 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grant Sperandio, who threw for 151 yards and a pair of TDs.

Memorial's run defense was locked in: Stratford could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Daniel Bidros for the heroic effort on defense: he. Memorial didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.4.

Memorial didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tanner Watkins and Evan Mauritzen. Isaac Richardson was another major factor on D, making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

The victory got Wisdom back to even at 5-5. As for Memorial, their record now sits at 9-1.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Memorial has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 245.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Wisdom struggles in that department as they've been averaging 186.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
