Baseball Recap: Northglenn Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Northglenn's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Mountain Range Mustangs 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-5 back in April.

Jayden Galaviz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alonso Sandoval was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Campbell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.

Northglenn's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for Mountain Range, they are on a 16-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Looking ahead, Northglenn will venture away from home to take on Loveland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Red Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.75 runs per game on average), something the Norsemen will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mountain Range, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against Prairie View on the 8th.
