Baseball Game Preview: Glendale Prep Academy Griffins vs. Kingman Academy Tigers

The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins will take on the Kingman Academy Tigers at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Glendale Prep Academy's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Kingman Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Tuesday, Glendale Prep Academy didn't have quite enough to beat San Tan Charter and fell 4-3. The loss was the Griffins' first of the season.

Corbin Kim made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Meanwhile, Kingman Academy lost 14-4 to Mohave Accelerated on Wednesday.

Kingman Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baylor Short, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Kingman Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Glendale Prep Academy fell to 7-1.
