Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

After flying high against North two weeks ago, Centennial came back down to earth. The Golden Hawks took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullard Knights on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Golden Hawks in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lundyn Harrison, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Harrison has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Alicia Tackitt also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bullard, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Coming up, Centennial will head out to face off against Garces Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Bullard, they will be playing at home against McLane at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
