Each year since 2006, MaxPreps has recognized outstanding performers in high school basketball. The tradition continues to close out the 2024-25 season by naming the top player in each state. Selections are based on team success and individual excellence in addition to local and state accolades.

Mason Klabo of Fargo Davies (Fargo) is the 2024-25 North Dakota MaxPreps Player of the Year. The 6-foot-2 senior guard led the Eagles to an 18-8 record and the Class AA state championship game.

For the season, Klabo averaged 27.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.7 steals per contest. In a 59-50 loss to Century (Bismarck) 59-50 in the title game, he produced 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists in his final high school game.
