Softball Recap: Marquette Catholic Find Success

Kenna Lievers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Marquette Catholic let Alyssa Coles and Bella Johnson run wild. Coles went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI, while Johnson scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That home run was Coles' first of the season. Kennedy Eveans was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Marquette Catholic's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Father McGivney Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
