Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Academy Chargers vs. Santa Fe Trail Chargers

Heritage Christian Academy will challenge Santa Fe Trail at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Heritage Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Heritage Christian Academy against Northland Christian as the squad secured a 57-24 victory. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Heritage Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Mia Vinson, who went 8-for-12 en route to 22 points and four steals. The game was Vinson's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ella Grace Gower, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 10 points.

Heritage Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. They are 11-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe Trail lost to Wellsville at home by a 48-34 margin on Friday. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Fe Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Heritage Christian Academy was taken down by Santa Fe Trail 53-26 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Heritage Christian Academy was down 35-11.
