Volleyball Recap: Texico Has No Trouble Against Hagerman

Texico's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Hagerman Bobcats as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Texico got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 31-29, 25-3, 25-9.

Kinzee Crow paced Texico's offense, picking up 19 kills. Crow got some help from Kailie Wieland and her 38 assists. Crow was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Texico's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hagerman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Texico is set to challenge their familiar foe Jal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hagerman will take on rival Loving at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
