Volleyball Recap: Texico Wins Going Away Against Hagerman

Texico's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hagerman Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Texico never let Hagerman on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 31-29, 25-3, 25-9.

Kinzee Crow paced Texico's offense, picking up 19 kills. Crow got some help from Kailie Wieland and her 38 assists. Crow was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Hagerman's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ariana Magallanes, who had eight digs. Raeanne Talamantes was another key player, getting ten assists and four digs.

Texico's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Hagerman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Texico wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Jal on the 6th. As for Hagerman, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Loving on the 6th.
