Pella typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Mt. Vernon proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Dutch 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Mt. Vernon pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Pella, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.
