Football Game Preview: Southmoore SaberCats vs. Northwest Classen Knights

The Southmoore SaberCats will take on the Northwest Classen Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Southmoore is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Choctaw just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 50-29.

Meanwhile, Northwest Classen fell victim to Stillwater and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Pioneers. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Pioneers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Southmoore's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Northwest Classen, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Southmoore against Northwest Classen in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-0 win. Will the SaberCats repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
