Basketball Recap: Sand Springs Takes a Loss

Sand Springs's last matchup with Owasso could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Sandites had to suffer through an 85-47 loss at the hands of the Rams. The Sandites haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Sand Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Teric Smith, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 17 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was David Price, who posted 13 points.

Sand Springs now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Owasso, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Sand Springs will take on Union in a holiday battle at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Owasso and Bixby will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
