Softball Game Preview: Glenbrook North Spartans vs. New Trier Trevians

The Glenbrook North Spartans will take on the New Trier Trevians at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Glenbrook North comes in on three and New Trier on six.

On Monday, Glenbrook North earned an 8-5 win over Resurrection.

Meanwhile, while New Trier put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Hoffman Estates. The Trevians blew past the Hawks 10-0. The Trevians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by nine runs or more this season.

New Trier's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenbrook North, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Glenbrook North was able to grind out a solid win over New Trier in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 11-7. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Trevians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
