Volleyball Recap: Brandeis Comes Up Short

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Brandeis duked it out with Cypress Ranch on Thursday. The Broncos fell 2-0 to the Mustangs. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.

Cecily Alva paced Brandeis' offense, picking up eight kills. Alva got some help from Samantha Blazquez and her 15 assists.

Brandeis' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cypress Ranch, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Brandeis has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Cinco Ranch on the 14th. As for Cypress Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cypress Ridge on the 14th.
