Flag Football Game Preview: Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles vs. Gilbert Christian Knights

The Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles will face off against the Gilbert Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Scottsdale Christian Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They breezed past Mohave Accelerated to the tune of 44-0. The win was just business as usual for the Eagles, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.

Scottsdale Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Campbell Reader, who threw for 206 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 34 yards and a pair of scores. Reader is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last six games she's played. Nola Bynum also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Scottsdale Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hannah Lopez.

Meanwhile, Gilbert Christian put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They blew past Leading Edge Academy - GEC 28-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Spartans are ranked 119th).

Gilbert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
