Softball Recap: New Holstein Huskies vs. Kiel Raiders

After a string of three wins, New Holstein's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 8-3 to the Kiel Raiders. New Holstein was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kiel apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.

Kourtney Karls made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

On Kiel's side, Liz Neils was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched. Neils has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Neils was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
