Baseball Recap: Lucerne Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Lucerne Valley was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 11-2 to the Academy of Careers & Exploration Eagle. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagle from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Lucerne Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathon Gonzalez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Raul Gonzalez was another, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Lucerne Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Academy of Careers & Exploration, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

While Lucerne Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
