Baseball Recap: Chartiers-Houston Takes a Loss

Fort Cherry hit Chartiers-Houston with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Buccaneers fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 8-7. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Dominic Cumer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brody McCrerey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Chartiers-Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Fort Cherry, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

While Chartiers-Houston had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
