Baseball Recap: McCallum Takes a Loss

McCallum's tournament run continued when they took on Little River Academy on Saturday. The McCallum Knights fell 8-4 to the Little River Academy Bumblebees. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, McCallum fell to 2-1. As for Little River Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-5.

Looking ahead, McCallum will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against LBJ Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LBJ Austin has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.25 runs per game on average), something McCallum will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Little River Academy, they will take on Anderson-Shiro in a tournament on Thursday.
