Basketball Recap: Brunswick Victorious

Brunswick's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They slipped by the Winters Mill Falcons 50-49. This was payback for the Railroaders, who suffered a 57-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Winters Mill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tate Steckel went 7 for 10 en route to 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Steckel has scored all season. Ben King was another key player, putting up five points.

Brunswick now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Winters Mill, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Brunswick has already played their next matchup, a 69-47 win against Catoctin on the 14th. As for Winters Mill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 54-52 defeat against Westminster on the 17th.
