Baseball Recap: Ephrata Mountaineers vs. Cedar Cliff Colts        
        
		
            
 Cedar Cliff typically has all the answers at home, but  on Monday Ephrata proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged the Cedar Cliff Colts out  6-5. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Ephrata.
  Ethan Hunt was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ethan Gola, who  went 2-for-5 with two  RBI.
 On Cedar Cliff's side, they got a good showing from  Peyton Price, who   pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   two  hits. Price has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Carter Enders and  Sam Grube did some serious damage despite the final result:  Enders  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Grube  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in five of his six plate appearances.  Michael Boblick was another key contributor,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with.
 Even though they lost, Cedar Cliff was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with three  doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ephrata didn't  hit any.
 Ephrata is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record  this season. As for Cedar Cliff, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5-1.
 As of now, neither Ephrata nor Cedar Cliff have any future games scheduled.
