Early County skates past Miller County with ease

Recap: Early County Bobcats vs. Miller County Pirates

The Early County Bobcats entered their tilt with the Miller County Pirates with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Early County breezed by Miller County at home to the tune of 76-36 on Tuesday. With Early County ahead 35-13 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Early County was led to victory by Jabril Lindsey and Javarrien Jones. Lindsey scored 17 points, while Jones scored 17 points along with three steals. It was the first time this season that Jones scored 15 or more points. Charles Williams was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Miller County still got an impressive performance from Jayden McCray, who scored 17 points. McCray has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dontravius Burr, who scored nine points.

Early County has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Miller County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Early County will take on Seminole County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Early County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Seminole County likes a good challenge. As for Miller County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mitchell County at 7:30 p.m. Mitchell County is coming into the match with six straight victories on the road, so Miller County is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
