Softball Game Preview: St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes vs. Richard Pioneers

The St. Catherine of Siena Academy Athletes will face off against the Richard Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses dating back to last season for St. Catherine of Siena Academy and seven for Richard.

St. Catherine of Siena Academy fell victim to Lumen Christi Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Athletes haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Richard also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 14-0 to Bishop Foley on Tuesday.

Richard's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for St. Catherine of Siena Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

St. Catherine of Siena Academy suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Richard when the teams last played back in April. Can the Athletes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
