Soccer Game Preview: Tucker vs. Marist

The Tucker Tigers will head out to square off against the Marist War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Marist will come in with four straight wins.

On Tuesday, Tucker didn't have quite enough to beat Northview and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Tucker have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Marist's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They never let Druid Hills get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Marist's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Marist's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Tucker, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Tucker couldn't quite get it done against Marist in their previous meeting back in March of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
