Basketball Recap: Carey Comes Up Short

Carey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Mohawk Warriors and fell 68-38. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 644th, while the Warriors are ranked 151st).

Carey's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mohawk, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Carey will take on Wynford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mohawk, they will face off against Hardin Northern at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Mohawk knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Hardin Northern likes a good challenge.
