Volleyball Recap: Calvary Christian Falls Short of St. Anne-Pacelli in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calvary Christian can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Abigail Steffens paced Calvary Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Steffens got some help from Olivia Smithwick and her 28 assists. Steffens was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 31-9.

Calvary Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Sherwood Christian Academy on the 7th.
