Mount Pisgah Christian lost to South Forsyth back in September of 2018, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Patriots won by a set and slipped past the War Eagles 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since October 26, 2024.

Mount Pisgah Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-17, 15-9.

Among those leading the charge was Maddie Cuppia, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024. Emily Childress also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Mount Pisgah Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Forsyth only served four aces.

The win made it two in a row for Mount Pisgah Christian and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for South Forsyth, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Mount Pisgah Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Springville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Forsyth, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
