Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Adelanto Saints

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will challenge the Adelanto Saints at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Rancho Cucamonga has three straight victories, Adelanto has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Rancho Cucamonga's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Lakewood. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Aiden Bravo was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Brock Foulds was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Adelanto fell victim to Cajon and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the Cowboys. The match marked the first time this year in which the Saints were not able to get on the board.

Rancho Cucamonga's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Adelanto, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Rancho Cucamonga took their win against Adelanto in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Rancho Cucamonga repeat their success, or does Adelanto have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
