Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers 74-40. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-25.

Talon Albrecht continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greenfield/Northwestern, going 13 of 29 on his way to 35 points. Those 35 points gave Albrecht a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Costello, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Pleasant Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.

Pleasant Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-41 loss against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] on the 29th. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-41 defeat against Staunton on the 28th.
