Ava entered their tilt with Cabool on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 16-1 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by nine runs or more this season.

Hunter Strunk was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Ava got a massive performance out of Mae Henry, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Henry snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Paris Henry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-2. As for Cabool, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Coming up, Ava will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Seymour at 4:30 p.m. As for Cabool, they will head out to take on Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
