Baseball Recap: Hillsdale Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hillsdale can now relate to. They came up short against the Kirtland Hornets on Friday, falling 12-4.

Hillsdale saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Bower, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.

Hillsdale's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Kirtland, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-7.

Hillsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kirtland, they will head out on the road to square off against University School at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Preppers have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
