Basketball Preview: North Park Wildcats vs. Hayden Tigers
The North Park Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Hayden Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully North Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Last Friday, North Park lost to the Gore Rangers on the road by a decisive 53-37 margin. North Park has not had much luck with the Gore Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite their defeat, North Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gavin Pittington, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Jace Cornelison was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Hayden came up short against the Saints on Friday and fell 53-40.
North Park's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Hayden, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
North Park couldn't quite finish off the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 and fell 59-57. Can North Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
