Last Thursday, Asheboro Hybrid Academy was the victim of a rough 41-18 loss at the hands of Vandalia Christian.
Despite the loss, Asheboro Hybrid Academy had strong showings from Autumn Voncannon, who scored 6 points along with 9 rebounds, and Jacie Whitt, who scored 3 points along with 5 rebounds. Voncannon is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Non Varsity Opponent has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over Elgin on Saturday.
The losses dropped Asheboro Hybrid Academy to 1-3 and Vandalia Christian to 3-2.
