The Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars are taking a road trip to  challenge the Saint Andrew's Scots  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Somerset Academy - Canyons is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5  runs per game  this season.
Somerset Academy - Canyons easily dispatched Oxbridge Academy last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Somerset Academy - Canyons fell just short of Seminole Ridge by a score of  6-4 on Monday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
  Tyler Schwal put in work no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Saint Andrew's came tearing into  Tuesday's  match with nine straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   9-4  win over the Bulls.
 Quinn Connors looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Luccas Mendez, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Aaron Orozco was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Saint Andrew's  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Saint Andrew's pushed their record up to 11-3 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
 Somerset Academy - Canyons suffered a grim  11-1 defeat to Saint Andrew's  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can Somerset Academy - Canyons avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
