Basketball Recap: North Thurston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against North Mason on Tuesday, North Thurston came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Gig Harbor Tides on Friday, falling 72-51. The Rams have struggled against the Tides recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, North Thurston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Matthias TenKley shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was DeShawn Cavalier, who posted ten points and five assists.

North Thurston's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Gig Harbor, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, North Thurston will head out to challenge Mount Tahoma at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gig Harbor, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-57 defeat against Seattle Prep on the 6th.
