The Huntland Hornets will face off against the Cascade Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Huntland, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, Huntland finally turned things around against Grundy County on Friday. They took down the Yellowjackets 22-8.

Grant Jernigan and BJ Summers were among the main playmakers for Huntland as the former rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Summers got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible80 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Huntland's defense and their six sacks. Kyrin Baxter was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up threehimself. His also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up three sacks, forcing a fumble, and making nine total tackles.

Meanwhile, Cascade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 54-14 loss at the hands of Richland.

The victory got Huntland back to even at 1-1. As for Cascade, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.
