The Huntland Hornets will face off against the Cascade Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cascade took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Huntland, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, Huntland finally turned things around against Grundy County on Friday. They took down the Yellowjackets 22-8.
Grant Jernigan and BJ Summers were among the main playmakers for Huntland as the former rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown and the latter rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Summers got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible80 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Huntland's defense and their six sacks. Kyrin Baxter was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up threehimself.
