Basketball Recap: Cobre Comes Up Short

Cobre lost against Silver last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cobre Indians took a hard 48-31 fall against the Silver Fighting Colts. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Silver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylianna Castillo out in front who posted 12 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. Castillo is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Kianna Murillo was another key player, putting up ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Cobre's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Silver, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Silver beat Cobre by a score of 52-40 on Monday.
