Preview: Hendersonville Commandos vs. White House-Heritage Patriots
Hendersonville and White House-Heritage are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The pair will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Hendersonville will be strutting in after a victory while White House-Heritage will be coming in after a defeat.
Hendersonville had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Oakland by a score of 46-37 on Thursday. That 46-37 margin sets a new team best for Hendersonville this season.
Meanwhile, White House-Heritage pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Franklin-Simpson by a score of 59-56.
White House-Heritage's loss came about despite a quality game from Avery Coles, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The contest was Coles' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Eli Gregory was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Hendersonville's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for White House-Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Everything went Hendersonville's way against White House-Heritage in their previous matchup back in November of 2021 as Hendersonville made off with a 70-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hendersonville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
