Herriman is 8-2 against Taylorsville since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Herriman came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Copper Hills, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since April 9th.

Ayvree Egelund was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. McKenzie Quintero was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 21 runs the game before, Taylorsville was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They lost 13-1 to Riverton. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tianna Hansen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Taylorsville's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7. As for Herriman, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-10.

Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Herriman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .350. However, it's not like Taylorsville struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Herriman took their win against Taylorsville in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 20-5 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
