Volleyball Recap: Orland Wins Going Away Against River Valley

Orland barely beat River Valley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Falcons 3-0 on Wednesday. The Trojans have beaten the Falcons the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Orland was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-11, 25-15.

Dottie Davis paced Orland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Davis got some help from Caydance Kremer and her 22 assists. Finally, Lillianna Rowe kept Orland's defense grounded, leading the team with 11 blocks.

Orland's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orland will take on Live Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for River Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Del Campo at 6:30 p.m. The Falcons are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
