Recap: Westampton Tech Panthers vs. Winslow Township Eagles
The Westampton Tech Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Winslow Township. Westampton Tech has not had much luck with Winslow Township recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daelan Dickerson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Dickerson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Shakur Anderson, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Westampton Tech has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Winslow Township, their victory bumped their record up to 5-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westampton Tech and Trenton Catholic Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Trenton Catholic Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine matchups. As for Winslow Township, they will head out on the road to face off against Moorestown at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
