Soccer Recap: Palmetto Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Palmetto's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They never let the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Falcons are ranked 233rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leah Higgins and Olivia Worley scored both of Palmetto's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Palmetto is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they now have a losing record at 5-6-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Palmetto take on the Bradenton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Saint Stephen's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
