Freeburg is 6-0 against East Alton-Wood River since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Freeburg Midgets will square off against the East Alton-Wood River Oilers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Freeburg didn't have quite enough to beat Triad and fell 49-46.

Meanwhile, East Alton-Wood River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 47-36 to Granite City.

Freeburg now has a losing record at 3-4. As for East Alton-Wood River, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
