Baseball Recap: Yreka Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Yreka was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Central Valley Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Yreka saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Isbell, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Yreka's defeat dropped their record down to 6-19-1. As for Central Valley, they moved to 12-11-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Yreka had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
