After a string of 11 wins, Burlingame's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Hillsdale Fighting Knights by a score of 3-2. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Burlingame took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-10, 22-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Burlingame's loss dropped their record down to 22-5. As for Hillsdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season.

Burlingame will face off against Aragon at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillsdale, they will head out to take on Carlmont at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
